These graphics would commemorate the Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2025 and would be released in time for the Hall of Fame Induction weekend.&nbsp; It was an honor to have the privilege to create designs for CC Sabathia, Ichiro Suzuki, Billy Wagner and the late Dave Parker. Topps released a card collection with designs based on the 1976 year in baseball. This would include things that were iconic for Topps baseball card graphics in ‘76 as well as American culture such as the bicentennial year (1976 marked the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence).&nbsp; I worked with the Topps team to create an apparel line that released with this card collection.&nbsp; I was given full creative control and access to vintage card scans to create digital re-creations of old baseball illustrations. The Topps team even allowed me to alter the brand logo to create a time period specific logo for one of the silhouettes. Especially for a trailblazer and hero such as Jackie Robinson. The last graphic I created was pulled from a vintage comic book cover, so this time I decided to create a full vintage comic book cover illustration to honor the legend and do something that was never done by anyone in the brand before. This is a 2-year process of researching, developing fabrics and trims, wear-testing proto-types and meeting with sport specific collegiate athletes to compile the necessary data to engineer to best uniforms to meet today’s standards of on-court technology and performance.&nbsp; Once the designs are finalized, the apparel&nbsp; / graphic design teams and sports marketing group meet with the schools and coaches to build the necessary graphics for the multiple uniform colorways the athletes will wear during the basketball season. Below you will see some of my creative process during the design pre-season as well as some of the final uniforms.
