Topps Heritage Collection | Spring / Summer 2025
Mitchell & Ness partnered with Topps to celebrate the release of it’s 1976 Heritage Collection in 2025. Topps released a card collection with designs based on the 1976 year in baseball. This would include things that were iconic for Topps baseball card graphics in ‘76 as well as American culture such as the bicentennial year (1976 marked the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence). I worked with the Topps team to create an apparel line that released with this card collection. I was given full creative control and access to vintage card scans to create digital re-creations of old baseball illustrations. The Topps team even allowed me to alter the brand logo to create a time period specific logo for one of the silhouettes. This project was very special as Topps is a baseball card brand I followed since a child, I can still recollect opening my first pack of baseball cards.
